“It’s important our grieving is as visible as other ethnic groups and our stories are heard”
Maureen's parents both died within a few weeks of each other in 2020. Her family weren't able to grieve in their normal cultural way due to the lockdown. She's now set up The Kitchen Table in the hope that other grieving families who are Caribbean, African, Asian or another minority group do not feel alone, invisible or misunderstood.
